Children of the Lightning

A Mazatec healing immersion to reconnect us with our light, our nature, our ancestry and our deeper purpose here with Mother Earth.

"I heal myself with the light of the sun, with the sound of the river, with the swaying of the mountains."

— Maria Sabina

Mushrooms > Humans

Mushrooms come from the lightning. They are one of the most ancient beings on this beautiful planet that we all call home. The Mazatec culture has been working with the mushrooms for thousands of years in ritualistic ceremony and allyship. When ceremonially served, they repair our connection with ourselves all of life.

Our Mazatec Guardian

Alejandrina Pedro Castañeda is a Mazatec curandera (healer), cultural guardian and elder from Huatla de Jimenez, Oaxaca, Mexico. She works with ndi xhito, the mushrooms as well as doing auratherapies, traditional egg readings and other rituals.

Replant our roots

Regenesis is centered around reconnection with nature, our ancestry, our hearts and how to align our deeper purpose with Earth. Through various healing modalities, mushroom ceremonies, regenerative systems workshops and intersectional wisdom, we firmly root back into animacy, connection and our power.

Supporting team

Alejandrina is supported in this journey by Ryan (Ra) James and Marisa Franco. They work by holding the group container, supporting ceremonies, facilitating sharing circles and adding in key integrative work that bridges the contexts of the indigenous world and the western mind.
